The Lived Experience Lab

The Challenge

Your organization recognizes the importance of lived experience, but translating that commitment into meaningful practice isn't always straightforward. You might need to demonstrate why lived experience deserves investment, establish an advisory structure, strengthen existing engagement efforts, share institutional influence, or understand whether participation is actually making a difference. You know that the perspectives of people closest to the challenges you're working to address are invaluable. But creating the conditions for those perspectives to meaningfully shape decisions requires more than good intentions. You don't need another symbolic initiative. You need a way to turn lived experience into meaningful organizational influence.

What T&P Will Do

We'll partner with your organization to examine how lived experience is currently understood, valued, and incorporated into your work. Through organizational discovery, strategic assessment, and collaborative dialogue, we'll identify your most pressing opportunities and help determine where focused investment can make the greatest difference. Together, we'll select one strategic pathway that reflects your organization's needs, priorities, and readiness. Your pathway might focus on developing a compelling business case for lived experience investment, designing a patient or community advisory structure, examining the experiences of people navigating your services, strengthening shared decision-making and institutional influence, or developing a framework to measure the impact of lived experience engagement. Rather than prescribing a solution before understanding your challenge, we'll help you identify the right direction and develop a practical strategy to move forward.
